Mike and Kayson. As you can tell Kayson was the only one festive enough to dress up.
Me and my Monkey!
Halloween! It was so much fun Kayson is dressed as a monkey. The pumpkin that Kayson is holding is his pumpkin that I helped paint a bat face on and my pumpkin is next to him, it is a cyclopes that Tyler helped me with.

Deanna's Wedding

Tyler and Kayson this was one of the hardest pics to get

Nikia trying to feed kayson flower pedals.

4 months old

This is the best pic i could get of his shots. He ripped his other band-aid off after being home 5 min. He didn't cry at all but he got a fever later that night that made him have a hard time sleeping.

These are both pics of Kayson on his 4 month birthday!

Crib

Kayson has now graduated to his crib! It's sad how fast he grew but he doesn't seem to miss the play pen.

Fun days

Don't worry he's not really drinking mountain dew but he sure looks like it.

Helping dad play video games Kayson made sure they won.

Kayson wearing his little speedo on his head.

Kyle and Lindsey's Reception

We took this family picture at Kyle and Lindsey's reception. The family pictures that have Kyle and Lindsey in them were taken on another camera, so we don't have them yet. We are so glad to have Lindsey in the family and we can't wait to see them again!

Blessing day

Kayson was blessed on August 16th by his Grandpa Abplanalp, unfortunately his dad got called out to a fire and missed it. We had a great time seeing family and showing his dad pictures when he got home! Thanks to everyone that came.

Baby Sling

This is a baby sling that Danielle made us. I love it but Kayson wasn't a fan! There are several ways a baby can sit in them and he was more pleased with an upright position but I didn't get a picture of it.

Baby Show

The baby show was on August 15th. Kayson's age group was 0-3 months and it was at 9 a.m. we had to get ready the night before to be there on time, but we got there and all the preparation was worth it in the end. Kayson came in 3rd place out of 12 boys; he was so good to the judges he smiled and talked to them! All the babies had to be in swimwear and that was a challenge in itself most of the swimwear I could find was for 12 months and older.

Here all all the winners except one of the girls is missing. I believe the baby in the orange came in first and the one you can't see came in second.

Kayson got a trophy, toys, a certificate, and a hat. The hat is huge but he still looks cute in it. (prizes are also in photo above.)

Egg

Our own little tribute to Eggie

This is from Kayson's first camping trip it was so cold he had to wear a snowsuit the whole time! He looks so so cute even though he is crying!

Big boy

Kayson practicing tummy time he is not even 3 months old in this picture.

This is Kayson's new purple, big boy chair that his grandma Kathy bought him.
He already leans forward and then throws himself backwards trying to escape from it.
I keep putting him in it because he just looks so darn cute, and he will most likely get used to it.
Even though his chair isn't his favorite thing; nothing compares to his hate for his car seat!

First beach day

This was Kayson's first time at the steinaker beach (that might not be spelled right). I put his toes in the water and he screamed he is not a fan of cold. He loved kicking his feet in the sand and it did not bug him one bit.

First church day

This was Kayson on his first day of church I can't believe how big he is getting. I love experiencing all of these firsts. Kayson, however, did not enjoy his first day of church it bored him!

Kayson

When I was a lot younger I used to want 12 kids. By the time I was in high school and saw the video of a birth I decided I was never having kids, I also said I wasn't planning on getting married for a long time. Well within the next two years I found my husband and we were married right after we both turned 19 and I found out I was pregnant 9 months later!
On May 6th we had our son Kayson James, which is who this blog is really for. He is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us. Raising a child is also the hardest thing I have ever had to do! Everyone tells you how much it changes your relationship and how you can basically forget about yourself, but until it happens to you, you have no idea what it will really be like. I can't believe I used to get a full 8 hours of sleep and I still woke up tired now i feel so rested when I get 6 hours of sleep.
Kayson soon got the nickname Mister Kayson when we fully realized we answer to him, even at Kayson's 2 month appointment his doctor called him master Tracy and boy is he right. I have recently given him the nickname monkey man because he can be simply out of control trying to go anywhere but where he is.
Welcome to Kayson's Life!!
